The Windflower Resort and Spa, Coorg

Excellent hospitality from all the staffs I’m not sure why so many bad reviews . Yes it may not be the poshest of the resorts but for what it’s worth it definitely does make a mark. The rooms are very large and especially if you are traveling as a large family it helps. The buffet spread was also decent and any lapse on the food is made up with the service oriented staffs there .

Not at all a value for money’ not impressed with room service - lazy and slow, mostly they didn’t attend basic things we asked for. Acted as if they don’t know what is- ex slippers, laundry bag etc. Rooms even had special guests like rats ’’ If food was at least good, I would have forgotten everything else. Miserably failed to maintain good quality & spread. I booked this resort based on previous(10 year old experience with windflower Wayanad)’ thought it’s a good brand but they are no more maintaining their brand value. Waste of money.

Had booked the premium studio with all three meals package. The rooms are very poorly maintained and the property badly needs renovation. The rooms are quite far from the reception and there is no pathway leading to the rooms and one has to walk over the slushy muddy trail to the dining area for each meal. Will not recommend for elders and shoes would be helpful. The bathrooms were huge but had insects and frogs. Even the kettle in the rooms were dirty and unkept. However the staff Karthiga was very hospitable and ensured best services. The food was good and staff attended well. Overall it was an average stay but definitely not worth the money and doesn't match any star hotel experience.

Did not have a good experience staying here, very ordinary hospitality with above average prices. They offer no luxury, consider this as a basic resort. Worth only half the money they charge. They really need to learn and train their staff about hospitality. Rooms : Spacious but lacked charm, jacuzzi was just name sake, was not clean at all and no hot water. Food : Just average, lacked spread and local cuisine. Hospitality: rate them zero for this, rooms are far and no proper buggy service, they make you wait for long. Basic things are to be reminded like towels etc.. intercom not working properly, umbrella not provided, not well maintained at all. Even the pond by the reception is filled with algae. Children play are was in worn out condition, snooker table was bad, sticks were broken, no TT table at all.. There is absolutely nothing for recreation. You just have to sleep in your room.

I am not sure why the reviews are so bad. I have booked 2 rooms for 2 days and had a good experience. The road leading to the resort is a bit bad other than that everything else is good. The food buffet was nice, service was good and they were catering to our special needs as we had a kid with us. The view from the room was amazing and this is a great stay at this price.
