Access: We started our journey from Delhi to Jim Corbett. It's a pretty convinient drive all the way specially considering the fact that from Noida till Moradabad you have the toll road taking care of your drive all the way. On the way uptill Moradabad we encountered 4 toll crossing check points where the entry fees is quite nominal. Once you reach Moradabad via Joya & Gajrola then take a left from Moradabad to Kashipur and thereafter to Ramnagar and finally you can take the small jungle drive in your own vehicle upto the resort. Since its summer creeping in the river is all dried up and you have to drive to the other side of the river to enter into the resort as the resort is litreally located in the Jungle itself. If you are a nature lover or you want to get away from the bad traffic conditions in the city you are bound to love this place. Overall you have to travel a distance of close to 280 Kms to reach to Ashoka's Tiger Trail Resort from Delhi. Parking: The resort has 3 covered parkings as well as open parking too. Its absolutly safe as the gates are closed and the guards will take care of the vehicle at all the times. The hotel staff is so helpful that car wash is complementary with no additional/ hidden charges. Location: The location of resort is quite deep into the jungle. Also the road to the resort is amazing. Its just the last patch of 1 Km that we took which is going through the jungle off the roadside more like you are driving in car rally. Having said that I'm sure you will still enjoy the last 1 Km drive more than the entire distance that one travels from Delhi to Corbett. The hotel is located at a convinient distance of 10 minutes from the Jhirna gate which is one of the three gates through which one can take a jeep safari to the Corbett National Park. The resort has Victorian Cottages, Deluxe Rooms & Deluxe Tiger Den Cottages. The use of swimming pool is complementary as well as for kids they have indoor games too. The resort rates vary depending upon what is your choice of room. Whichever room you opt for you can be rest assured you will still be in the lap of the nature. You will be surrounded by bamboo trees, lush green environment and the agriculture cultivated by the villagers all around you. You can breadth in the fresh air. Just one thing to keep in mind the hotel rooms DO NOT HAVE ANY TV. However in such a place do not expect a television set as its just going to spoil the mood of such a fantastic visit right in the nature's lap. The Front desk: The staff was extremly helpful. All of them bear a smile on their face and any help you require they are just a call away. We booked a Deluxe Tiger Den Cottage. We reached to the hotel at 10:30 AM. Our room was ready nicely cleaned with wooden flooring. The bathroom was compact and reasonably clean. They have 24 hours running hot/ cold water. The resort manger Vikram as well as our trip manager Manoj were really helpful. Manoj advised us of the places that we can see near corbett as well as the morning walk and late night tree top jungle viewing. Our room was facing the jungle side and the fresh air blowing was simply stunning. Food & Room Service: One word to explain it MARVELLOUS!!!!! We took the all meal package included in our deal through Travelguru. I would admit here that the food was exceptionally great in taste. It was more like home cooked food. Exceptionally tasty. Its was more like a home away from home. They have a buffet system and they offer both veg/ non- veg food. The staff is exceptioanlly courteous. Resort has other facilities like spa, jacuzzi, hair cut etc on payment of additional charges. One can contact the tour manager to arrange for addiotnal activities on extra payment which can include activities like Rapelling, trekking etc. Recommendation: I will recommend this resort to young singles, newly married couples, corporate groups, families with kids wanting to go for a weekend break.
