Hotel Ganga Nihar

What an Eww experience!!! Unfortunately the hotel that I booked didn’t pick up the call as I was in taxi so we couldn’t find the location then driver dropped me near harki Pauri and told to get a hotel there. It was my bad luck that I got this hotel there wid no cleanliness, everything there was so dirty. The main thing what everyone want is washroom and it was really v dirty, pot wasn’t clean ( had to think several times before sitting), floor had dust (felt like stuck there from years), wash basin wid stains. Bed was also not clean, the bedsheet- blanket seemed v dirty that I had to think thousand of times before using however I just had to spend only one night so I adjusted somehow. I must add that they took 1200 for such cheap room and services, there was no soap and towel as well, I went to reception to get soap :(. I’m glad that I took toilet roll wid me otherwise I was afraid to use toilet, there was no jet spray as well, they had that attached thing on pot and it was also not working (forget that u can use ash your butt properly). Whilst writing, I feel like my words aren’t enough to express what I’ve experienced tbh. Anyway, I would never recommend anyone to book this hotel, ofc don’t want anyone else to experience what I did. {NOTE : don’t believe in photos posted by hotel as it’s not what shown }

Highly recommend because of it's LOCATION...... I visit Haridwar often (once in a few years) and I always pick this hotel for my stay because of it's location. 1. This place is right on VISHNU GHAT (I have also posted review about Vishnu ghat, you can check on my profile) 2. Try to take a Ganga facing room, cause it's worth it. 24x7 you can view Maa Ganga. Like the hotel name is GANGA NIHAR (Ganga view). 3. There is temple here, there are food and N number and types of shops here. Ganga arti happens every evening anytime between 6:30 to 7:30 pm. 4. The view of Ganga with the crossing bridge and trees makes it so peaceful and beautiful. Rooms are okay and clean. Wifi is available (not strong connection). Room service for tea and cleaning is available as well. Room price starts anything between Rs. 1000 to 1500 ( it depends on tourism season and the room you are picking) but again, since the spot is soo good, it's worth it. Give it a try here, you will love it.

I booked two AC rooms for 1250 per day. The location was good, the room looked okay in photographs for this price but when you start living in it, AC sound, no lifts, no house keeping services, no in-house food, broken bed and almirah, dirty pillows. They are relying on religious customers. Don't come here if you want peace.

Great stay at vishnu ghat and near barabazar market. 10 mins. from Har ki Paudi.
