Aarem Valley Castle

I stayed in this hotel for 2 days.Its not at all a 3 star hotel.I Prebooked an extra bed in the room which they provided prompt once we checked in. But they didn't provide an extra blanket. I haad to call 3-4 and wait for almost 2 hrs before i could finally get the blankets. Same night we asked the reception about the in house restaurant for having lunch and were told that its in the basement. So we went to basement. There was absolutely no one. We waited for like 15 min. So we came to reception and at that time he told us restaurant was closed. So if it was closed nobody told us when we enquired 15 min back. Regarding the room,They are ok but my bathroom was in really bad shape, its entire calling was continuously leaking and water drops were leaking from entire celling. Also water drainage system in water was pathetic. Post bath bathroom used to turn in to pool of water.On the second day I asked my room to be cleaned. So once I came to room after sight seeing found out the extra bed given to me is completely wet. And found out that the house keeping guy has left the window open and due to rain. I tried calling the reception But phone was not working. I walked to reception but nobody was available at reception. This happened 3-4 times but no one was available. Finally i walked in to the hotel pantry and found out the same guy from reception working in that kitchen. Finally after 1 hr wait, i was provided a replacement mattress, which was torned and soiled. And a blanket provided had big holes in it. Worst day of my stay was 3rd day when we had to checkout. My 9 yr old son walked in bathroom for attending nature's call and as the floor was wet he slipped and got big cut. And had to get 5 stitches. Over a big no from my side. If you have already booked it best of luck.

Very Good environment and the location was very near, walkable distance to kodaikanal lake (boating) and also briyant garden few more meters from their. The food and service was good, especially the breakfast. The receptionist is more friendly and helped from the start to end of the Trip.

Me and my wife choose the kodai Aarem valley for our honeymoon. The place has created so much of positive vibes in us. Its a perfect value for money. its conveniently located and the breakfast served is really awesome. Keep up the good service.

Room was clean and neat. Food was not that great. Service was good. Overall okay place.
