Hotel Port Palace

One of the best in outer city. The food, atmosphere and service is great. The ambiance and hospitality were fantastic, enjoyed a delicious & sumptuous Lunch that was very reasonably priced. There were numerous non-veg options, It was definitely worth it! The F&b Manager And the staff were well-mannered, dedicated, and provided excellent service. Worth the visit! A must try! I wish there was a way of giving this hotel a negative rating as this one is the most disgusting we visited till date. To start off with we were promised a room with balcony while booking but you can clearly see the pictures that there is no balcony and we had a garbage view from the room (just like the hotel), the towels were stained and dirty (I am sure they had not been changed), we were travelling with a baby and were terrified on seeing the electric kettle provided to us was rusted, refrigerator was not working (we were told that all the refrigerators in all their rooms were not working by the manager and that the refrigerators were only meant for storing chocolates and no hard and soft drinks) basics like coffee, dairy whitener, bathrobe, slippers etc were missing, dustbin did not have a garbage bag and to top it all we were served the same breakfast for both the days (exactly the same menu) and most of their counters had no food (please look at the pic of their sambhar, it had only veggies and no sambhar left). After looking at their refried medu vada and no sambhar at the counter we were forced to think that we were served previous days' leftover, which is why I asked for more sambhar and they had to prepare some specially for us since their kitchen was short of sambhar. When I brought my issues with the room to the notice of the manager sitting at the reception he started giving vague replies like "Sir we have only 3 rooms with balconies and cannot give to everyone" and "we gave you this room since you need silence since you are travelling with a baby". Irony is that our room was facing the highway and it was still noisy but they had nothing to say regarding the garbage that we could see from our room. All of the above problems in spite of us travelling during the Christmas break and paying a premium for our stay. The hotel barely had any occupancy during the festive season and they had bare minimum staff. Please book only if you are ok with unclean, unhygienic rooms and stale food.

I stayed at this lovely hotel for 10 days. For me, this place has it all: quiet luxury, comfortable rooms with all the amenities we need, delicious, fabulous restaurant/bar, and quite likely the best service anywhere. Especially front office executive Mr Deepu welcomed us and explained the facilities of the hotel and the whole team provided the best customer service. Central location to restaurants, good ambience and comfortable rooms. Highly recommend.

I would have love to give 5 star review ratings because of nice stay & food especially Chef prepared traditional Kerela cuisine upon request. However, very bad experience by management with their guests - Inspite paying for additional stay hours & food, they happen to call ’’ after 2 weeks and mentioned we didn't clear our bill which was so bizarre. We found it extremely fishy as may be internal staff might have done some account reconciliation goof ups and wanted to cover. Please be mindful and sort any billing discrepancies instantly. It's very unethical to charge guests after long time period and inspite giving transactions proof and details they questioned about bill as if anyone would hoard old bills. What if guests paid in cash? It would have been a nightmare ’’’’

My family and I had the most incredible stay in this hotal! This hidden gem exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff were warm, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The hotel's restaurant served up mouth watering dishes that catered to all our carvings. The chef even prepared special meals for my kids! I had the most authentic and delicious street food experience at the Thattukada stall in this hotel.
