The Fern An Ecotel Hotel, Lonavala

I have always appreciated The Fern’s hospitality across various properties, but unfortunately, my experience at The Fern Lonavala fell short of expectations. From the moment I stepped into my suite, it was evident that cleanliness and maintenance were not up to the mark’dust, stains, and an untidy bathroom made for a disappointing first impression. Despite raising my concerns, and the team promptly shifting me to another room, the issues persisted. While I truly appreciate the staff's effort and cooperation in making our stay comfortable, such lapses in upkeep are unexpected from a five-star property. Attention to detail and consistent quality should be a given, not an exception. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback constructively to uphold the standards that The Fern is known for.

We took 2 hazel suites for 3 nights. As per the rate, rooms were worth it. But overall it was not worth it. The pool is too small, there is no garden. Staff is trying very hard to help but they are not trained for a 4 star resort. Only Rahul from restaurant seemed trained. There was no management around activities for guests. The recreational area is dull and games over there are old and half working. Food was randomly good but most of the time it was quite average. Breakfast was okish on weekdays and was decent on weekends. WiFi rarely works. Location is a bit outside the city but it was cooler here in the evenings. Overall if you want to relax in room, this is okay otherwise it is expensive. This is more of a 3/3.5 star hotel.

Travelled for work in Lonavala and no regrets in choosing this hotel. Rooms are well kept, clean, cool and conducive to have a proper rest after work. Very relaxing spa to have a good wind down for the day. It is also very near to the town area where we can spend time shopping and dine.

Recently we visited The Fern in karad along with our clinic team and a few doctors from the states. Really need to say had an amazing experience at the hotel. The rooms were so beautiful and clean with room service everyday. The food was delicious. Also the dinner near the pool gave us a mind blowing experience along with great service by Mr Kumar who was so polite. Highly recommend this hotel

The location is slightly tricky in case one relies too much on Google maps. It is situated away from the main city. The staff here is excellent very helpful. The food is great. They do offer a free Wi-Fi service, which is good as connectivity in this area is a little sketchy. A nice place to chill out on a weekend.
