A serene place to stay in Masinagudi.Rooms are somewhat small for the rate and very basic, but the ambience and the vibe this place carries are unmatchable. The wooden panels in the room were freshly painted. No toiletries were provided. The caretakers will prepare food as per orders taken from the guests. Food is good but a bit expensive. From the balcony you can catch sight of some peacocks and peahens. Do not expect more than that. Leopards or elephants are rear in this area. Most importantly, Visitors will need to make a mandatory register entry to stay here at Thepakkad tourist reception centre which located at the point where you take a turn to Masinagudi from Main road. It is necessary and not mentioned anywhere in the website. Please keep this in mind when you visit the place. Also based on the services provided I felt the it is quite expensive.

There is a lot of improvement required in these log huts. Their location is fantastic, however the infrastructure is crumbling. Seepage in the walls, the painting of wooden panel is bad, the bathroom flush tank takes approx 15 to 20 min to fill up. Understandably the food options here are limited. These are some of the issues that i observed. Sign boards on road are not prominent. The staff was warm hearted, however not fully prepared to receive the guests. These are few of the reasons why I have rated it a 2 star. Officials need to spruce up this property. An earnest request.

In this Log house, We can select rooms as per by our requirement in their website. It's a government property. Maintained by the range officer and their assistants. They provide food which is prepared by home itself and fulfilled by our need. Clean and neat rooms. Spacious bed. But the only disadvantage is we should clearly check before we book. They provide all the details in their website. We never had a bad experience. Always unfortunate one but good thing happened there. My suggestion is you should stay two days there. Safari will be arranged by the office if we buy tickets. The place itself gives peace even though it's a tourist place
