The location of the hotel is really amazing and the Bazaar peth is about 650 meters away from the hotel . Monkey point which is worth seeing is very near to this hotel.Rooms are very spacious and TV reception/quality in the room was fantastic covering almost 110 channels of all languages.The manager and the house keeping staff are very very cooperative and fast in attending to guest calls. Very punctual in supplying hot water, morning tea, break-fast, lunch, evening tea and dinner. The menu they serve has been really tasty,mouth-watering and homely. We had really wonderful holidaying at Cecil hotel, Matheran. All these features of the hotel really out-weigh the tariff we pay.

It is a little away from the market place but good if you are looking for a quiet place. The rooms need a little maintenance especially the bathroom. No running hot water but this is the case in most hotels in Matheran. The food in the hotel is good and the service is also good. I would recommend it for people who want to stay in a quiet and peaceful place.
