Cecil Hotel

The foods is delicious and hotel service is also good.than you Cecil hotel.

It was an awesome experience for me & my family who had visited Matheran for the first time. It is nearby/walking distance from market area. Room service & Food (especially the Cook) were very humble & courteous. Planning soon to visit Cecil Hotel again.

Rooms are large with attached bath. Better and cleaner bed linen would enhance the experience. Group of 10 occupied 5 rooms from 21st to 23rd Nov. Food was served as per our requirement. Simple and home cooked type. Staff are friendly. However attending to room service was minimal. Major complaint. A bill for the stay was not provided on check out. But was promised to be delivered by WA. In spite of repeated reminders to Mr. Ravindra of Reception the bill for ’35,500/- paid by Debit card on 21/11/22 not received!

This place is awesome to visit during the Monsoon season. The dense forest along with the fog give a perfect vacation vibe. The location and the atmosphere of the hotel will itself make you happy even before entering the rooms. Finding the hotel can be an issue. Please ask the local people for guidance once you reach aman lodge. The swimming pool is small but nice. As the place is fully covered with trees, there are few leaves floating in the water. However the staff tries to remove them at the earliest. The rooms are decent and very spacious. Bathrooms are huge. One area where they can improve is the quality of cloth on bed. The bedsheets have holes. They have old TV sets in the room. Being a only vegetarian hotel, the food was decent. They keep a lot of variety and service is quick. You can order non veg food if you want from outside. They have other games like carrom, badminton, cricket, etc. I tried carrom which was not fun as the board was really bad to play. The staff was very helpful. Specially Datta made our stay pleasant with his quick service. Please note that this hotel is available on Oyo but they do not accept reservations from Oyo. The hotel has informed Oyo to delist their hotel from the website but Oyo is not doing it. I was denied check in as my reservation was from Oyo. I had to opt for their regular pricing.

Rooms are really big, This hotel is Pet Friendly ! U can take ur pets there, no problem, Also food is on the house. ( inclusive of Room Tariff). Not really away from the Aman Lodge Railway station, close to the market too. and the stay was pleasant and staff was really helpful.
