Treebo Cecil Resort, 600 Mtrs From Matheran Railway Station

Hotel location is not suitable for family with kids, no direction, no signboards, no mobile network and no assistance from hotel staff make it worse. Room and bed linen were not clean. Room service was not available at all, basic amenities and toiletries were also not provided. Only good part was the food. Overall not value for money, though, It can be a very good resort if maintained properly and management is willing to do so. Train staff to be more attentive and helpful to guests.

Well, a calm place to relax. Good vegetarian food, very tasty. Breakfast was OK not that great. Rooms are very big but all moist walls. Bed linens we did not clean had fungus on it. Amenities were not in working condition in 2 rooms. Good part was the toilets were very big and clean, except for the buckets which were very slimy. Overall a very good place with a small pool.

This was the best hotel I have ever seen, such good staff, such good service and the rooms were amazing. Before going I had also read bad reviews in the comments but when I went there I liked it very much.I can bet that you will not find such a resort in the whole of Matheran. I say that whenever you go to Matheran, book this resort. Best hotel. And the breakfast, lunch, dinner here is so best’ taste is amazing You won't find food like this even in a restaurant, this hotel serves such good food. Unsafe place for family travellers. *Location - It is too far from the market, in the middle of jungle. Once you are here you can not go out anywhere, after sunset. *Food - Average dining service. Food is not even cooked properly. Except to tea, nothing else is worth mentioning. They don't serve Maharashtrian food. *Rooms - Rooms are not well maintained. I found a snake at my door and frog in the bathroom. *Cleanliness - There were plastic bottles and trash all around the room. *Management - Manager will misguide you. I had to suffer great inconvenience and heavy loss because of his advice. *Safety - It's not very peaceful. It's mostly people from neighbouring state, who come here in big groups. Loud music is played till midnight. People drink in open area and talk loudly. I'll not recommend this at all for families.

I have been coming to Cecil resort since 2020. Staying here is always been an amazing experience. I have seen, it's been upgrading each year. Considering its large size room and extra large/specious bathroom, the property is not less then any 4 star resort. food menu has various options, its taste and quality is very well maintained. Staff is alway being courteous and co-operative.
