Le Dupleix - A Sarovar Hotel

The cost of room for a single day is around Rs.25k but the experience I had was of hotel with 2k. The rooms were cramped up with no proper facilities. Ac was not working properly. The cabinets in bathroom were broken and fell on my foot. The toiletries which they provided were of low quality. The balcony was dirty. The breakfast which they served was not good. They served it badly pic is attached. It's sold as heritage property but we don't get that feel of heritage there. We have expectation in proportion of the price we pay for the property, but in this case it was a total disappointment.

Very sorry to leave this review, because we wanted to love this place. It has a lovely ambience, and the food was actually very good - once we got it after more than an hour wait, and piecemeal (one dish out, three others took another 40 minutes, forgot two side dishes). I'm not sure what was going on in the kitchen today, but the whole experience was unfortunate. We would have actually ordered more food - the veg kebab platter, in particular, was excellent - except that we couldn't possibly wait for another hour for it to arrive.

Le Dupleix offers a truly fantastic dining experience! The food, especially the lobster, was absolutely outstanding’fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. From the moment we arrived, we were given a warm welcome, setting the tone for an elegant and classy evening. The ambiance is charming and sophisticated, easily a 9/10, making it a perfect spot for a memorable dinner. Service timing was good at 8/10, while the quality of food was impeccable (10/10), and the taste was delightful (9/10). Would highly recommend Le Dupleix for an exquisite dinner experience in Pondicherry. Kudos to the team and management for maintaining such high standards! Looking forward to visiting again. ’’’’’

The restaurant has a relaxed and welcoming ambience, perfect for a casual meal. Food was delicious, with well-balanced flavors and fresh ingredients.The service was impeccable, and a special thanks to Rukhsana for her attentive and friendly hospitality. She made our visit even more memorable with her warm and professional approach. Highly recommended for anyone seeking great food and service in a pleasant setting.

The restaurant food is awesome; authentic continental cuisine. We ordered French onion soup and Caesar salad - my daughter loved it. The restaurant ambience is also nice. Sahanawaj was very polite and served us well Room- I am doing a separate review on that
