Hotel Deccan Park

It's an old property. Good prices, great location. Beds are simple sponge which wasn't good. One serious negative though -- we tried to check in late night but the reception people had slept off and there was no one answering the phone calls - despite a prior information that we will come late. No guard, nothing, the entry gate was locked from inside. Somehow I saw where they were sleeping, and we screamed & shouted to wake them up. Better to avoid late night check-in.

Went to meet a friend and it was a pleasant surprise to find a good hotel on the main Fergusson College Road. The tariff is also very attractive at Rs.2500 for air-conditioned room. That’s quite reasonable looking at the location.

Room is clean and spacious however the service is pathetic. Security staffs, waiters are full of attitude. This might be because of 3rd party management or less man power hence this kind of behaviour is developed. Hukuma Matata restaurant serves good food but they will not serve you, will just keep your order and leave. If you are paying cash they will not have the change to give you back. I took the stay with a breakfast package and it was value for money. Giving 3 star as the room was clean enough for the stay.

Just off the Ferguson College road, bang diagonally opp Hotel Vaishali (Pune's iconic go to place). A budget friendly hotel considering the location. Very quite and peaceful location. All kinds of eateries in the vicinity. Staple breakfast is complimentary but limited to one or two varieties. Lunch or dinner is not available. But then the whole of FC road is at your disposal to satiate your palette.

Very nice place, I proud of a part of this hotel some time. Prasad Nayak sir is great person there. They did lot help me for time manage when I was learning animation classes. Sure I would like to meet them. I hope we can meet.
