I had taken my family for a rafting trip to Rishikesh for the 1 st time I had booked the Ganga Beach Resort, Rishikesh. On reaching the hotel after 7 hours of journey from Delhi, I was shocked to see the kind of accomodation provided. The cottage booked and paid for in advance was in a terrible stage. Even though the resort said that it was their best cottage ,there was a thick layer of dust all over the room and on the bed. It seemed that the room was not dusted for ages. On insisting, It took them 30 minutes to sweep the room while me and my family were sitting in the hot 42 degree temp. The bed sheets were stained and even after trying to change them 4 times they could not arrange for a clean sheet. The AC was not suitable for even the small size of the cottage and kept tripping every 15 minutes. There was no provision for an extra bed. The electricity was going off after every 1/2 hour and then you had to actually climb on the bed to switch it on manually. The resort was full of monkeys and languar so the kids were scared to venture out. The SPA was without the AC. There was no soap, no moisturiser, no complimentary water bottles or any accessories provided in the room and we had to ask for the same. The list is endless. Out of sheer frustration, I had to venture out in the heat at 6.00 PM to find another suitable accomodation for my family as the place was definitely not liveable. The pictures provided on the net do not reflect the actual state of the hotel and are totally misguiding to the customers. I highly suggest that one should avoid this resort at all cost. The worst part is that I actually spoilt my birthday which was suppose to be a special one for the whole family.
Room service was pathetic, have to remind many times.Internal Phone was not working. Overall services was really very bad.
A very good property along the banks of the river Ganges.I was with 3 of my friends and we reached the hotel late around 11p.m.We wanted to go for the swimming pool but the hotel staff told us that the pool closes at 8p.m.We called for the manager and he understood the situation and allowed us to use the pool.Other than this there was no problem in our stay and i definitely look forward to another stay at the hotel very soon.
the location waqs perfect besides the ganges. the swimming pool experience was lovely. as we were staying on the third floor the pool and spa were far below there should be a option of lift. dining was good.
approach to the hotel is very very steep and rooms (deluxe) alloted to us were on 3 and 5th floor.alternate rooms were given to us in lower basement but the approach to rooms was under construction with no light.food and room service was good.reception was not very helpful. this place is not for over 50 and may be suitable for youngsters.pl do not re command for elderly people.
