We had an extremely disappointing experience at Baljees Residency and strongly do not recommend staying here. The hotel is not worth the money at all and seems to be solely money-minded, with little to no concern for guest comfort.
As soon as we entered the room, we were hit with a strong smell of smoke all over the place, making it unbearable to stay. Despite informing the staff, nothing was done about it. The room service was terrible’slow, unresponsive, and unhelpful. On top of that, they charge extra for almost everything you ask for, making the experience frustrating.
Overall, this was one of the worst stays we’ve had. If you’re looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay, avoid Baljees Residency at all costs!

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Mall Road. The room was comfortable, and the service staff were polite, helpful, and prompt in their assistance, which I truly appreciated. The food at the hotel's restaurant was delicious.
However, there are a few areas for improvement: the heater provided at an extra charge of ’300-400 could be larger and more efficient. Additionally, the glasses were not clean and had an unpleasant smell, the kettle's cap was broken, and the price of a regular ’20 water bottle was priced at ’60 on the bill. Lowering the cost of bottled water would be beneficial.
I would also request the hotel management to ensure a continuous supply of hot water. It was inconvenient to call the reception each time we needed hot water for bathing or handwashing.

had a disappointing experience with the staff at Hotel Baljees Regency. The level of professionalism was severely lacking, and the staff did not know how to communicate properly with guests. Their rude and unhelpful attitude made my stay uncomfortable. Basic hospitality and courtesy were missing, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this level. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you value good customer service. Look for other good places.

Disappointing Experience at Hotel Baljees Regency Shimla
I am compelled to share my recent experience at Hotel Baljees Regency Shimla, which fell short of expectations in multiple areas. Despite its promising appearance, the hotel's services and amenities were subpar, leading to a disappointing stay.
During my visit, I encountered several issues, including:
- Unhygienic and uncomfortable bedding in the rooms
- Non-existent parking facilities, with valets mishandling vehicles
- Exorbitant extra charges for basic services
- Failure to provide invoice copies for bookings
- Unprofessional room service and staff behavior
- Clogged drain pipes and unresponsive room service despite multiple requests
Furthermore, I was dismayed to discover a significant price disparity between online and manual booking rates. When I brought this to the staff's attention, their response was unhelpful and unprofessional.
In light of these experiences, I would rate Hotel Baljees Regency Shimla 0 out of 5. To regain customer trust, the hotel must urgently address these issues and improve its services, staff training, and transparency.

Disgusting hospitality expired shampoo and other products are given. Basics thing are also charged seperately irrespective providing necessity. High charges for rent in comparison rooms are not likely to be of 50 % rates . They changed rupees for even heater in extreme cold which should be given from there side . Even single water bottle was charged by thrice the rate when just checked in
