Banasura Hill Resort

We had spent 3 nights at this resort in Jan 2025 for my daughter's birthday and I must say, it was a fabulous experience. We had booked 2 Earth Rooms which were extremely spacious. It gave a feeling of typical earthen style home. The staff( everyone) was extremely courteous and forthcoming for any support that we needed given that we were travelling with my mother in law and 2 kids, one of which was an infant. The resort had its tea garden and a river stream passing through its property and it was superb visiting it. The resort had its own guide to take us around. There were several other amenities like badminton court, swimming pool, etc. The food and ambience of the restaurant was also great.

The hill resort is really one of its kind and rates as one of the most beautiful and comfortable vacations in India! The resort is in the middle of a thick forest, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers. The resort arranged nature walks and there is tons to explore on foot around the resort, including a badminton court! The staff goes out of their way to make guests feel at home. Wonderful food, including authentic South Indian food, clean and green expanse with luxurious and cost feeling. Highly recommended for families, couples and solo travellers alike.

Spent 3 days and nights at the property. The entire place appears as though it's an extension of the natural environment it's nestled in, which gives it a really rustic feel. One however would feel pleasantly surprised though as you step into the property, to find it to be extremely tastefully done up, and supremely well appointed with any and all creature comforts that you might need while being forest adjacent. Have to highlight in particular how amazing the meals were (particularly lunches which had traditional Kerala fare). The property is pretty big and there's enough and more to do within. They have curated walks in and around their property, through tea gardens, forested areas and to waterfalls. In and around are short hikes to more forested parts, cute villages and waterfalls, among others. Also, they have some of the best staff I've seen anywhere. Most of them are veterans with around a decade of tenure. They were so exceedingly warm and gracious in how they hosted us, in addition to being super knowledgeable about the property and things in and around - a big part of the reason why our stay felt so very enjoyable Super strong recommend!

Very nice property. Very good hosts. They took us on a trek, beautiful it was. Mithun is a great host. So is Prem. They didn’t make us wait at all and helped with early checkin also

Banasura Hills Resort stands out for its good service and courteous staff, but the overall experience is quite disappointing. The resort is not kids-friendly, as there are barely any activities or amenities for children. Most of the facilities seem poorly maintained or exist just for namesake. For instance, the steam trekking lacks excitement and feels unnecessary, the tea garden is underwhelming, and the cave is non-operational due to poor maintenance. Additionally, The bonfire area is located too far from the main property, making it inconvenient and unappealing for guests. Most visitors may not prefer to make the effort to visit it due to the distance. The restaurant only serves buffet meals, which can be inconvenient for those with specific preferences or dietary restrictions. Overall, while the staff and service are commendable, the resort fails to deliver on its promise of a memorable experience. It’s not an ideal choice for families with kids.
